An adventurous, foul-mouthed former swimming coach reaches for record-breaking glory when he attempts a triathlon at 69 years old.

Vijay is a 1989 Telugu, Action film, produced by Akkineni Venkat on Annapurna Studios banner and directed by B. Gopal. Starring Akkineni Nagarjuna, Vijayashanti played the lead roles and music composed by Chakravarthy.

Vijay is a story about various characters that are bound by relationships of love and friendship. How they become foes and take up weapons against each other. When Arjun and Vicky meet, they are oblivious to the fact that they are cousin brothers.

Vijay and Pournami are two very different sort of people who first meet because of a misunderstanding. Vijay is a lazy engineering graduate unwilling to follow his passions and Pournami is an unlucky bold girl who doesn't give up on her dreams. They don't seem to find a lot of things in common at first; but as time passes more avenues open up for them to collaborate and learn from each other.

Wilhelm Wilder (Will) is a talented actor stuck on a New York City children's TV show where he portrays Bad Luck Bunny, a hapless green rabbit. Feeling a failure, he bears his fate with touching self-irony, but grows sulky and petulant when he thinks that his wife, daughter and all his friends have forgotten his 40th birthday. In the confusion following a road accident, all the world believes he is dead. Instead of rectifying the situation, he decides to fulfill a fantasy and attend his own funeral. Here he will learn what everyone really thinks of him. With the aid of his best friend Rad, an Indian restaurant-owner, Will becomes Vijay Singh, a handsome and gentlemanly Sikh, complete with turban and beard. A group of friends fall victim to tragic events after one of them dials *69 in response to a crank call. Tina, who's finally putting the missing pieces of her life back together after a car accident robbed her of her memory a year prior, uncovers that these events are somehow linked to her past. Now, she must find a way to unlock the truth that is buried deep within in order to put an end to the nightmare.
